I first read about eHarmony‘s upcoming major changes on TechCrunch. The largest of the announcements was that the looooooooong questionnaire will become optional.
The idea, from eHarmony‘s perspective, is that they can convince you to take it more easily if you’ve already gotten in the door and looked around. The article also mentions that members can indicate that they only want to be matched with others who have taken the questionnaire. To me, if one does not fill out the questionnaire, I can’t see how eHarmony could match that individual using their ‘secret sauce.’
As of this writing, the changes hadn’t taken places at eHarmony Canada. We’ll have more of a take on this once that happens.
